Sharing & Privacy
Choose how much of your activity the group feed reveals, from full detail to nothing at all.
You decide how much of your activity the feed reveals. There are two independent settings, one for your activity and one for your records.
Where to change it
Go to Settings → Privacy. The screen has two sections: Feed sharing for your activity and Records for the records you break. Pick one option in each. The change saves as soon as you tap it.
The first time you open the feed, a banner at the top says your group can see your workout names. Tap Change what you share there to go straight to the same screen.
Feed sharing
What you pick under Feed sharing changes how your entries read in the feed. Here is the same 5.2 km run with each option.
A workout follows the same ladder: “Anna trained Legs”, then “Anna did a workout”, then “Anna was active”. A check-in reads “Anna checked in”, then “Anna logged an activity”, then “Anna was active”.
Duration and distance count as content too. With “Only that you were active”, the feed says you were active and nothing else, so nobody can reconstruct the run from its numbers.
The setting is read live. Lowering it applies to everything you’ve already logged, not just what comes next.
Records
Broken records have their own section on the same screen, Records, independent of Feed sharing. You might want your routine names private but your PRs celebrated or the other way around.
Here is a Legs session that broke a bench press record with each Records option.
The two settings don’t constrain each other. “Anna was active” can sit right above a named PR if that’s the combination you chose. The one exception is “Nothing” under Feed sharing: if you’re out of the feed, your records go with you.
Out of the feed, still competing
Choosing “Nothing” under Feed sharing removes you from the feed, nothing else. You still rank on the leaderboard, your active days still show on your calendar and your group still sees you there. The feed is the only thing the setting governs.
Blocking and reporting
To report a comment, tap the ⋯ next to it and choose Report. To block someone, open their profile, tap the ⋯ in the top corner and choose Block. A block hides the two of you from each other, in the feed, in comment threads, in AUUH rosters and on each other’s profiles. It doesn’t touch group membership or the leaderboard, where both of you still appear. Everyone you’ve blocked is listed under Settings → Privacy → Blocked users, where you can unblock them.
